Closer to the skin | Merino de la Patagonia Superfine

At our wool mill, each new fiber arrives when the process is ready. It doesn’t follow a calendar or an immediate commercial need, but rather the time required by small-scale work: testing, listening, adjusting.

This is how Merino de la Patagonia Superfine comes into being—a new line that joins the Merino de la Patagonia family and expands the range of fibers we work with at the mill.

It is an exceptionally fine merino wool, designed for delicate projects and garments worn in direct contact with the skin. Its softness and lightness, together with the way it behaves on the needles, offer a more sensitive and precise knitting experience, without losing structure or definition.

Merino de la Patagonia Superfine is spun in small batches at our wool mill. As we often share, working at this scale allows us to care for every stage of the process, preserve the fiber’s natural qualities, and custody traceability from the origin—from field to skein.

I’d like to highlight that this line upholds the same design criteria, animal welfare standards, traceability, and verified regenerative origin that define Merino de la Patagonia.

It is a continuation of the same path and, at the same time, an opportunity to move toward finer fibers and more complex production processes—always within the scale and values that sustain our work.

Last November, we presented a preview: two color duos specially developed to accompany the Bosque Mediterráneo shawl by Juana Román, the official pattern of Barcelona Knits 2025—a proposal that was warmly received both in Argentina and at the festival.

Today, Merino de la Patagonia Superfine is introduced as a new line. It is the result of yarn design thought through in every detail—from the fiber itself to the knitting experience—and of a commitment to noble materials, traditional techniques, and a conscious way of producing that seeks balance between innovation, environment, and community.

Wishing you a beautiful week,
